Chef Pip Lacey and co-owner with Gordy McIntyre opened hicce X Wolf & Badger on 12th November 2018 at the much anticipated King’s Cross development, Coal Drops Yard. An 80 cover restaurant situated on the top floor of lifestyle store Wolf & Badger, hicce offers all day dining from midday onwards seven days a week. Private dining and alfresco seating on the terrace overlooking Coal Drops Yard will follow spring 2019.
The menu includes dishes created mainly using a wood fired fuel source – including grilling, steaming and smoking. An all day menu features ‘hicce hot sticks’ and the dinner menu offers daily specials of fish, vegetable, meat and side dishes including the likes of mackerel, radicchio, kumquats and desserts such as Muscovado creme caramel. On Sundays a selection of feasting dishes will be served including whole roast lamb rack with rosemary, garlic and thyme served with seasonal salads.
Hicce has a dedicated bar area serving local craft beers, a concise wine list sourced from small batch, independent producers and seasonally changing cocktails and non alcoholic cocktails.
This is Pip’s first stand alone restaurant, since leaving Michelin starred restaurant Murano and following her win on Great British Menu 2017.
